As 2012 slowly approaches and we start to peer back through the year, wafting away the smoke from the many burning souvenir collections from around the globe. The Amsterdam based seed bank is back after their 2010 top strain Wreckage with Cold Creek Kush. The High Times Seed Bank Hall of Fame inaugural inductees, TH Seeds, are responsible for over 20 years of genetic leaps in breeding and are well regarded by the community.

TH Seeds‘ Cold Creek Kush has already seen success winning 2nd place in the Indica category in the 2010 Cannabis Cup and now it features on the 2011 top strain list. BC Bud Depot is definitely what you’d call a repeat offender on the High Time top strains lists. If we turned back time we’d see BC Bud’s 2010 High Times top strain Texada Timewarp, and back in the present day there’s a slight sense of déjà vu as BC Bud Depot are back once again with The Big.

The ominously named “The Big” gives you some kind of idea of the effects this strain will have on you – a big plant for a big effect. TGA Subcool Seeds never seem to grow tired of seeing their name appear on the High Times top strains lists, following their 2010 entry with Chernobyl they are on it again with Cheese Quake.

Think of the Cheese Quake as a Grape Cheese Danish which gives a high head-tingling buzz followed by an energetic body stone effect. This funky offering from TGA Subcool is a pungent smoke with hints of cheese and fruits along with a musty sour smell and hints of grape.

Barney’s Farm – Tangerine Dream

These Dutch favorites are at it again; last year it was Vanilla Kush and this year they’re being honored for Tangerine Dream. Mandala seeds are ushered onto this year’s 2011 top 10 strains with Krystalika. This excellent medical grade marijuana is a smooth but potent sativa-dominant high. Green House Super Lemon Haze has won the High Times Cannabis Cup for a second year running!!

Super Lemon Haze 2009 Winner

Green House Seeds Super Lemon Haze with its incredibly intense lemony flavour, with a strong haze background has a sharp and intense taste, which reminds of lemon, lime and pink grapefruit, followed by a very earthy and musky haze aftertaste, with traces of incense and black pepper. The effect is very balanced; it starts with a quick indica-hit feeling that softly moves to a very strong high, with a social and creative side. The Super Lemon Haze is a very smooth compromise between the great qualities of its parents. It’s cannabis seeds has 9-10 weeks flowering time, and a very typical Christmas tree shape. Plants tend to grow quite tall, but the internodes are not too far apart, and allow easy topping. The leaves are very sativa-like, while bud formation comes dense and has a high calyx-to-leaf ratio. TH Seeds ATrain has a great high that leaves you with a huge smile and your eyes are in little slits. You and your friends start getting creative, but the munchies are likely to take over. The male was donated by Eddie, formally the owner of one of the oldest and most prestigious seed banks in the Netherlands. This original prize male was hand selected and used in many breeding projects throughout the years. DNA Lemon Skunk will grow fairly tall and is an extremely good yielder. She has great dense citrus smelling buds. Her buds are light green with large thick orange hairs. She has an outstanding high calyx to leaf ratio. This strain is the tastiest and sweetest if she is cut down between 50 and 56 days.

Delta9 Labs CannaSutra is a F1 hybrid which is well known for its impressive yielding capabilities. She is short in stature and heavily branched.  With each generation the breeder observed a massive leap in potency.
